When is the next long weekend? After the Memorial Day Weekend - I am longing for more days off. Fourth of July? Nuts - that's a month away.
We took the little monster to Disneyland over the weekend. That was an experience, I tell yah. To be in a car with 3 kids ranging from 1 - 5- 7 ... 3 adults and food galore - it was insane!!! We finished off our goodies even before we hit the halfway mark to L.A. Jake, surprisingly enough, was behaved in the car. He got antsy as soon as we got stuck in the L.A. rush hour traffic but other than that, he was fine. His videos kept him occupied, which then kept our sanities in tact. Disneyland is a whole different world now that I am a Mom going there with my child. I was preoccupied with ideas of what to do with Jake, what to do WITH Jake, and how to amuse him and me at the same time. I told Hubs - I used to look forward to going to places like Disneyland because of my favorite rides and things I like to do. Now, I look at the place with a whole new perspective. He liked Dumbo (or atleast I think he did) - until he started wigging out at the last minute. He was a bit overwhelmed on Pirates of the Carribean, white-knuckling my hands as we went down the 2 drops :). He passed out and missed out on Snow White - he would've loved it. But the highlight of it all was seeing the excitement in his face when he saw Rollie Pollie Ollie and Stanley. That was all it took for me and Hubs. He was so happy dancing and clapping and laughing. It was sooooooo cute! Inna was happy that Tito Hubs took her to the big rides although she was bummed that she didn't get to ride California Screamin'. Bel and I did our little bonding by riding the Jumping Jellyfish. Oh that was not cool but she was excited so that made it all worth it. Jake, by the time Fantasmic and the fireworks started, was fast asleep. Candy and Bel went to ride the Small World while I waited with Jake who was fast asleep in the stroller. We went home Sunday to beat the heading-back-to-SFO traffic. Yesterday, Memorial Day - we bbqed at Rikki's. Jake went swimming with his cousins and he loved it.
I'm so pooped - I was going to take this day off again but I decided sayang one more day. Jake was fast asleep when I dropped him off today. I need to go home on time today.. I'm tired.
