Damn the Bullseye!

I have not been a happy camper when it comes to work lately and I have no shame being vocal about it either.  It's hard to be motivated when the Red Bullseye is screwing us over.  Damn!

I have a lot of issues lately.... and I'm sure the Big Guy is SO sick and tired of me bitching.

On being rude...
- Why do some people think they can walk around and yell and throw a big stinkin' attitude in the workplace like it's their God-given right?  I have one coworker who is so oblivious she doesn't even realize how rude she is.  It's time someone knocks her off of her Lalaland pedestal.

On managerial skills...
- How the hell do you get to where you are as a manager with no managerial skills?  That's one question I will forever wonder about with my present situation.  I'm not even gonna go there so I'm just going to shut up now.

On fake people...
- I've said enough!

On the brighter side...
E and I talked our way out of work yesterday afternoon and said we needed to go shopping.  FOR WORK OF COURSE :).  During lunch we decided "I don't think I want to work for the rest of the day" so we told our boss we needed to go and shop.  We ended up in Santana Row.  We were working - honestly :)!  We made sure to hit the places we needed to go to, and buy the things we needed to buy.... and then we went to the places we wanted to go to:  the usuals.  Oh we were so antsy.  To get off early and just play ... And Work!!!  It was too hot to enjoy the whole atmosphere but it was fun.  It was the first time in weeks that I went in to Anthropologie and not walk out with anything.  I'm so proud of myself.  Even E didn't buy anything.  BUT...there's this Japanese paper store (MaiDo) that we just absolutely loved.  We could've stayed there the whole day and I came home bragging to the husband about it.  There was also this chachkee store with all these girly-girly things and E and I just looked at each other and said "this is SO made in Taiwan!"  The store was selling a pair of flip-flops for $55!  Are you nuts?  It had beads on the thong part...but I don't care.  $5 of chinelas at Target and a couple of beads from Michaels do not add up to $55!  I think I want to try one at home just for kicks.

The other day, I was too pissed from work so the Big Guy took me and Jake driving and we ended up at University Avenue in Palo Alto just walking around.  We went all the way to Palo Alto for Starbucks - as if Milpitas didn't have any :).  We walked around, went browsing at Borders and then drove home.  Somehow somewhere we dropped Jake's wipe...sorry buddy.  There was this lady standing in the corner with a sign "I'm broke!  Pls help."  I didn't know you can do that?  My mission now is to look for my own corner and make my sign all pretty but with the same message:  I'm broke!  I didn't see anyone giving money though.  Maybe her sign wasn't cute enough.

Tonight, back to Santana Row for me and my boys.  Toodles people.
