Ok so the Bachelor sucked! Basically, he chickened out. He didn't promise BUT he gave her a promise ring! A promise to what? Get some while you have that ring on your right hand? Eww. He is just really gross. Why I watched the show.. don't ask!!! I think he should've picked Kelly Jo.. but NO.. he picks the girl with the annoying voice. Anyways, about the ring. Well, it was significantly smaller than the rings the previous Bachelors have bought. Harry Winston probably thought Bob the Bachelor wasn't for real anyways! Haha! And doesn't she know that a woman wearing a diamond ring on her right hand signals independence?! HELLO! Sex and the City people!!! Jimmy Kimmel put it the best way: He dumped all of them! He sexed his way through these girls.. used them.. and dumped them! YUCK YUCK YUCK! Hmm... I know some guys like that... and I'm not even gonna say who!

Booked my MN flight and hotel room! This trip better be good, I tell yah! If anything, I'll get a free dinner from the vendor! Hehehe!

I hate people who think they know it all and have done it all! I'm talking about Person A again! Don't mind me.. I'm crabby today!

Es is coming back to work! Yipee!! Boss J is scared - the Asian girls are back in full force! Even if J is with the other team.. she's still in the same vicinity... and Boss J can't do anything about it! I'm just glad Es is coming back.. so my Chex Mix won't go to waste when I eat just the nuts and the dark square thingees. She eats everything else except the ones I eat. What a great system! Like eating the cruncy fries and she gets the soft ones. Ok so we're weird that way - that's why we're friends! So bite me! The Breast Cancer Lady has been promoted as our SPM. Why? I don't know. And we're getting DEFINITE negative feedbacks. That doesn't sound good!

It's Hubs berfday on Monday but I am asking everyone to be home at M&D's on Sunday to have a quiet dinner. Even the newlyweds, J&C, are coming. Just so Hubs can blow out his BIG 3-0 birthday cake!

When it rains, it pours...

Poor Jake is sick - yet again! Is this ever going to end? I feel so bad for him because he can't say what hurts, but he sure whines about it, that's for sure!!! Hubs and I ended up taking him to the doctor this morning. So aside from the cough he already has from last week, he now has ear infection on the left ear because of the colds and it is not helping that he is teething with the 2 middle upper teeth forcing its way out, SO.. he is down with a 101 degree fever! It's so heart breaking. Get well soon my little sweet pea!

Bosses J & L are in Minneapolis until Friday so it's going to be an easy week end ahead. I have issues one on top of the other but I have too many things going on to worry about it (ie: Jake).

The wedding preps for J&C are in full swing. Hubs is busy with the video presentation for the reception and I'm trying to finalize the programs for the church and reception. It's so exciting - and I am so happy for them! Hubs & I won't be taking Jake with us to the wedding for obvious reasons.

The tickets for our MNL trip is OH MY GOD expensive!!! No choice, la. It's $2K for the 3 of us to travel. But... you know.. this is for my bestest friend's wedding. No regrets.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Hubs, Jake and I went to Valley Fair last night. It's not like we had money to shop... I just wanted to get out of the house. I told Hubs I was bored - so off to the mall to cheer the wifey up :). Jake was so good - he passed out the minute we hit the freeway (and the Mommy followed soon after that!) - and he was out for most of the time that we were there. He woke up when we were at Coach - HAHA... he truly is his mother's child!!! I'm amazed at how the whole mall is fully decorated in Christmas splendor - and it's not even Thanksgiving yet! There's just something wrong about that. Let the other holiday pass before jumping to the next, people!!!

It's a bit of a budget crunch now since Hubs and I realized it's only 3 paychecks before we fly out to MNL. It's easier to look at the big picture that way, you know? Hmm... how many times do I get paid before my vacation? To top it off, there's Christmas and Hubs' birthday and C's birthday smack in the middle. Nuts!!! Anyways, Hubs and I were discussing what we want for Christmas and I 'thought' I had my mind made-up until I got to the mall. I saw a really nice eye candy at the jewelry store. I told Hubs it would be my "JLo" ring if he gets it for me. Then I saw what I like at Sephora - the STILA perfume, the Musti baby cologne (for me, not Jake)... and of course, at Coach I 'visited' my tote again :).

I never realized how intense the preparation is to travel with an infant. I've been searching and researching and asking around for this. What do I bring for Jake? It feels like I need to bring every frikkin' thing.. just in case! See that's me... I don't want to be caught off guard and not prepared! It's the "Girl Scout wannabe" in me that needs to have control over things that I can control. I want to buy the whole stock of Pampers and Enfamil at Cosco.. just in case!!! I'm even at the point where I think I'm crazy enough to lug his flouridated water around. Slap me crazy, please. Someone... anyone! The girls at N@W have been great - giving me tips and hints and shiznits! It would've REALLY helped if I shopped for warm weather clothes for Jake when it was... um... warm weather clothes season? Darn!! Oh well.. off to SM we go I guess!

Right now, Hubs, Jake and I are on the waiting list for Cathay Pacific. Auntie Buni, Sari's aunt - is hooking us up. Nuts... C will be PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSED if I'm not there in time for her wedding.

So what happened today at work? Hmm.. let's see... "Good Morning Josephine. How are you? Oh, by the way.. you're flying to MN on the 3rd ok? Talk to you later!" Oh.... OH OK! Nuts! I'm happy to go, but at the same time - I'm leaving Hubs and Jake for 3 days! I'm getting teary-eyed at the thought but Hubs said they'll be fine. Ahh...! And it's going to be sooooooooooo cold!!! At least I'm going with Buyer A... so that should be fun.

Friends J & C are getting married on Friday, the 21st! It's such a mad rush but everything and everyone's coming together to make it happen. It's such a lovely thing. It's like, everyone's taking them under their wings to make their day special, even under such special circumstance. Hubs is the emcee for the reception - I'm the cord sponsor I believe. Friend J, who sang at our wedding, will also sing for theirs. J is such a good guy, and a great singer. He's like the resident singer for all weddings. Hubs and 10th Letter J are going to put together a slide show for the reception of J & C's pictures... it's super cool! Even friend R is going to help make C's tiara! Oh.. I feel like crying!

Speaking of Friend R, we FINALLY had lunch today! It was nice to get out and have a lovely lunch with a great friend! She was talking about how it is in her department.. "sassy" is the word of the day! We talked about being married hags, loving the Hubs', not having enough money (HAH!). She's such a nice friend! :) Nothing beats great food with great company, ya know?

Going up to AC to spend the weekend with M&D E. It's been a while since we spent the night up with the IL's.. at least Jake will have quality time with Nana and Grandpa.

OK.. so what's the ISSUE for the day for me? I just have major issues... MAJOR issues with Person A. I just don't like her! And she gave me enough reasons not to like her.. so THERE! I rest my case!

Today, my little winky Jake is 8mos old. He's not feeling too well... poor thing is still coughing and congested.

Hubs and I were practically up the whole night trying to soothe him to sleep. Seemed like he woke up every hour on the hour. Ah..!! I don't know if the Dimetap worked or worsened his cough. The humidifier is hopefully kicking in. My poor child. He doesn't like the coughing feeling. His throat must be hurting. What to do what to do? What can Mama do to take it all away?!

I feel bad - for the nth time, I backed out of a lunch date with friend, R. She's just about ready to kill me. I'm leaving early since Jake is sick. I know she understands, but I hate breaking set appointments.. especially when it was me who set it up! Grr!!! Rain check - my treat.

Nothing new really... just loving my new $4 top from Tarzhay... yeah HELLO!!! I patronize my own, alright? Such a deal from regular $18.99. I think I just might go back and get more in different colors! Yeah - maybe I'll do that!!!

I have 2 words for yah: LeBRON JAMES. Mind yah, I'm not a big NBA fan.. but the first game he played against the Kings... man he's good! I don't know about them young 'uns earning so much at such a young age... I hope he doesn't turn out to be another Kobe Bryant. All rich and cocky and getting himself in all kinds of trouble! Kids nowadays.. tsk tsk tsk! Jake will be a full back for the 49ers! :) That's Mama's plan. Anyways, back to Lebron... I think I just might watch more of him now!

Hubs and I watch the show... not as religiously as Newlyweds but this is funny too!! Just because you're rich doesn't mean you're smart! Ahh... how nice it must be to get all stressed about where to spend your money, that you feel you need a break... so off you fly to your private villa out in the Virgin Islands carrying your Louis Vuitton Sirius. The life...

Ok back to reality... time to go home. I haven't had lunch so I'm a starvin Marvin.. and co-worker P's nachos smelling too good isn't helping at all.

My poor little man has the sniffles. He was so restless last night and I could've sworn he looked just like his Daddy, asleep with the mouth open. He was so congested last night, and you can tell by his eyes that he was not feeling well.. but he was still happy and bubbly like normal Jake. It breaks my heart. He woke up at 4am and he was so uncomfortable. He finally fell asleep on top of me, with me sitting up. I think that eased his breathing that he was quasi-reclined. Ugh... make this go away! And it's not even winter yet!! Called the dr - she said Dimetapp and the saline nasal drops. Good luck.. I'm sure as hell he'd hate that!! Hubs is going to buy a humidifier tonight. Feel better, Jake.. mama loves you.

And then.. my big man Hubs is also not feeling well. Ai-ya... when's my turn gonna come?

Ok so my boots are back from hibernation! I'm so happy!!! I bought these last year (AHH.. gasp in air puhlease..!) - yeah ok I'm wearing last year's boots.. so sue me! But I bought these when I was in the height of my pregnancy, when I refused to surrender to flat shoes, and wore it for all 2x until my feet expanded as fast as my paunch and off they went, back safe in their shoe box. I'm so happy it's cold weather / boots season again! This year, I think I'll buy brown boots..... (I hope Hubs is not reading this)....

Last night, Hubs and I watched the Bachelor. I just don't get that show. He freakin' kisses every one and their mother! That's so gross! I just don't understand the concept. How can you care for Person A one day, then go on another date and completely forget about Person A because you're with Person B. Let's not forget about Person C's date. So I have this theory - the person that didn't get the rose last night was the one who didn't put out! HAHAHA! Hubs said she (the one that didn't get a rose) made the BIG mistake of talking about kids so soon! I thought so too. She was all about having kids right away, and when she realized he wasn't ready, she totally took back what she said "oh... I think a year after marriage is ok... bleah bleah bleah bleah bleah!" She must be kicking herself right now. But she was very dignified when she left... so I liked her. That, and they went to Great America :). Ahh.. that place brings back good (and not so good) memories.

I also watched Sex and the City - the episode where Big was moving to Napa and he played Moon River (I LOVE that song!) and Miranda's bag of water breaks on Carrie's new Christian Louboutin shoes.
I love it when Carrie said "can you make a mistake and miss your fate?" Hmm....

I've been very tired lately. I feel like my head is going to explode - this headache never went away. It didn't help either that I was in the astro-jump on Saturday for Rachel's birthday. How Ev and Ann talked me into getting in there, I have no idea. It was calling my name to go in. And Jay just HAD to go in and jump his @$$ off... I'm surprised I didn't hurl.

I had one meeting after another today. I'm hoping to go home on time tonight. I must be weird - but past 5:30, I feel like it's hecka late to go home now that it's so dark! I'm just glad it's finally cold! I LOVE cold weather. I didn't really experience cold weather last year since I was pregnant all through winter - and my body temperature was so out of whack! I do need to buy new winter clothes. Oh... and boots! I need new boots!

The weekend was fun. Jake's first Halloween was fun and very tiring... so tired he slept the whole day yesterday.. was asleep by 10:30 last night, woke up at 4am to play and passed out again by 6am and didn't even realize that Hubs dropped him off at Dad's already. Poor thing.

I took so many pictures over the weekend, I need to download them all. Hubs is going to kill me that our laptop is so slow now because of my pictures. It's all of Jake's though.

I am so excited. Last Saturday, Hubs, Jake and I went to IKEA Palo Alto to get my RIBBA frames. I plan to put Jake's monthly pictures on it and make it look artsy-fartsy. Yipee!

Just got word that friend C's dad is not doing very well. We'll be keeping Mr. V in our prayers, C - and we wish him health and comfort, always.

I am swamped so I'll write more next time...
